Not a cross word to be said. Yet your words build a fortress in my head. Stones not to throw but to use and build a writer’s career . Best of your poems Paul.

A I generated picture. Awesome. You are an inspiration.

I used the text of the poem to generate the image. It was 1 of 2 and I picked this one because it is both bridge- and cairn-like

Will do - My prescription from 4-6 years ago is almost perfect, but still a bit too strong. I have optometrist visit scheduled for month's end and I' should Know where we are at by then.

I never crossed that bridge, but these you built each day with your words I dare to cross, and I must admit that the view is quite breathtaking. Thank you, Paul!

Well, there’s a coincidence. I wrote a (different) poem called “Cairn” some years ago - it won me a minor competition (it’s here if you’re interested: https://www.mountaineering.scot/assets/contentfiles/pdf/mwc2005poetry1.pdf). Meantime, I like your poem!

Thank you for sharing your poem, Thomas. Cairns are often thought of as markers and memorials, piled atop the earth from which they came, but they always point upward, skyward, to something transcendent.
