The only argument for souls to exist are these pieces of truth - or a query - whispered into the ears of poets by some voice only meant for them to hear..
thank you for this poem, Paul, it has me drifting in thought
Most of what I begin to write comes while drifting in thought and is rarely complete. Almost everything I finish has had to wait for its final form to be given to me.
Very interesting. For me, the best pieces often begin chaotically and almost automatically. Only in the iterating and editing do I feel a greater sense of control.
thank YOU, Paul!! tears sprung to my eyes while I read. just what I needed. sometimes, just knowing that i am not all alone in toiling over a written piece makes all the difference!! XO
The feeling of relationship between poet and poem is very cool. There was something about the pivot to the questions and the timing of it that gripped me.
That's one of my poetic aspirations! Thanks for this incredible poem. It's definitely one for the books, one that will always resonate in time in every poet's heart.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!

Overly said maybe but I think poets especially are intrinsically connected to a higher frequency
I don’t know about frequencies- I think it’s more about waiting to find the piece that fits instead of working at making the pieces fit.

I find this too Mike - almost a surge that hits and needs to come through.
Poem is the closest thing we have to describe Reality in its true sense. Enjoyed it, thank you..
Time is precious, Vinoth, thank you for giving a bit of yours in order to read this piece-Much appreciated!

Rest assured, Danielle, you’re not alone in that feeling.
A poet’s poem. Nice.
Thanks, Mathew.

Wonderful, Paul. I love how you let poems be things you can capture, and then give final form to.
The rhythm in this one if very compelling.
Thank you, Arjan!
Just very excellent in all ways.
Many thanks, Weston!

Haha, we'll see! Thanks for the encouragement.
This is wonderful Paul, for me it touches the part of me that is a Mom. The gift of parenthood it all of the above and more ❤️❤️
I hadn't thought of it until I read your response, Pamela, but I can see the truth in it. As a parent myself, thank you for the reminder!

Great! Made me reminded m of Barry Manilow’s “I Write The Songs”. (Sorry if you’re not a Manilow fan but it did.)
