Eyes speak more languages than tongues, hearts speak even more, and hands? well, hands speak with each caress, multiplying compass points while wandering directionless. And the eyes and the heart seem useless since only a body can tell if the touch is a whisper of welcome or just a sigh of farewell.
I have it all -pictured- in my mind. I will have you two on a poster. Saying we will be studying these two handsome poets. I took a screen shot of want I wanted. You two side by side. This poster will be outside my classroom door. Too bad I can't post this picture here. I'm going to post it on the board. It's crude but you will get the picture.
Paul, I always rereading to feel what's happening inside of me. Your last phrase here is just gripping, "only a body can tell if the touch is a whisper of welcome or just a sigh of farewell." Beautiful, thanks for this, Paul.
Beautiful poem. The imagery of the wandering hands and the questioning of the eyes' purpose is lovely. The ending leaves a lingering uncertainty about the touch, creating a complex emotional landscape.
Thanks to @Yara for this restack!
MOST men MISS body language. Men miss the subtlest hint of a woman's 'language'.
I think we can agree that people ought to pay more attention to each other.
Some people like to be ignored. Like me. I like the challenge or making a man notice me, by being subtle.
Paul you haven't missed a zone. Good one.
I keep at it, Malcolm, Thank You.
The beauty of touch. So true.
No translation needed.
You know whereof you speak, Stan. Thank you!
i need to use him, too, in my book. i can study and teach both of you to my fictional students. study poets who make you 'feel'.
I am honored—Thank you, Lique!
