Thank you, Brian, but why sullen?

The imagery or at least what my mind saw. Scarcely visible, secrets, blue, stillness, tear, trapped, bleak streets. Then the question, Is it Winter? And the exit at then end.

It's a beautiful sullen...

All through the night, a hiss of stars,

the she-sells-seashells sibilance

soft as mist across the sullen moor

I tried to capture that hiss of stars sound, Berkana. Do stars really hiss? I don’t know but I imagine they might if I got close enough.

Awesome read on a chilly morning where I'm hiding from the day. I love the part about the day emerging like a snake shedding its skin!!!

This bit! Yeah.

“Bleak streets wrapped in exhaled cigarette smoke; yellowing folds of a handkerchief crusted with the dry roar of mucous,; blood spat onto white bathroom tile; the empty space of a window that makes it useful as do spokes in a wheel.”

Thank you, Mathew. Got a bit of a punctuation issue at the end of "mucous, " but it will just have to stay there for the time being.

Oh my! You are a magician with words in this. I jumped in barefoot and walked through it touching each image I passed by, with all my senses. Thank you Brian. Sparkling and shadowed.

Thanks for jumping in Alixandra!

I'm glad you like this, Patris. It was another earlier piece I posted when I was trying to decide whether I was going to use the platform. I think it may be from July. I thought I migrated everything over but I guess I was wrong. Anyway, I think ,ore people will see it. I'm glad you did.
