Paul, I enjoy reading your work and thank you for accepting my comments in the spirit with which I made them. I don't do it from some sense of being 'more knowing' and your poems are far better than mine. I simply try to offer something and be honest about how I react to what I read. - More strength to your arm ... Take care. Stay safe ☮️
Begins so well ... could be so much more with a better simile and richer last two thirds. However, your ability to see much in everyday and often unnoticed events is something for which I have much admiration. My suggestion - (yes, I don't claim to be right or to know better or such, it's just how it takes me, as a reader), - perhaps adjust the time you spend on producing new work and spend more on polishing and bettering older or continuing work, i.e. it isn't necessary or even always desirable to quickly publish a first, second or even third edit but sometimes to leave something aside and go back later, working for as long as it takes to definitely make the most you are able of sound, intuitive, motivating ideas that you wish to turn into words and share.
Well done Paul,
Poetry Day in Ireland today.
Plenty of crows dangling about
Jim
Thanks, Jim - Enjoy Ireland Poetry today and always!
It always amazes me how many crows gather together on a wire. You are such a talent - even your first poems.
Thanks, Monica, I appreciate your comments and support!
I love this!
Thanks, David!
Love this💙
Thanks, Diane!
I guess you “kiss it, make it better”.
This is so awesome. You paint a lovely picture of the crows. Crows and Ravens are my favorite birds.
This is one of the first poems I posted on Substack, but the crows still gather every morning.
So good, and I love hearing you read your own writing!
Thank you, Brian. I think I might be getting more confident in my readings.

Thank you for your comments, nsc. You’ve given me some constructive criticism and I will see what use I can make of it.
Your voice really enhances this lovely poem. Poems really come alive when read aloud, especially by the poet.
So pure it demands illustration in a beautiful children’s book, the poem being the entirety of the story.
Crows, they know which way wind is blowing.
They do, Richard—Thanks for reading and commenting.
A constellation in the sky. Smart birds. Communicate.listen to their caw. They watch and learn.
Scattered them with love...
thank you Paul! 🙌
Thanks, An 😊

It was entirely my pleasure!
My fat fingers spelled your name wrong so I had to correct it!
Hahaha! No problem, thanks for that!
