I wait steadfast as the moon waits for the day to retreat. I wait with a head full of words and an empty mouth. And, I wait again for sex to bruise our nights, for innocence to bow down and surrender her crown spiked with laurel and ash.
While waiting for the fog to lift the sheets and the waves crests to curl the moment is night and dew falls to light on a pair of eyes that stare to wait no more.
